What are the Types Of Composition In Photography?
Hello guys,
Welcome to world of photography.
Here you will get knowledge about photography.
Let's hop on to he topics.
First of all you need to know what is composition ? right !
so here it is a definition of composition ...
Composition: Photo composition is how a photographer arranges visual
elements within their frame.
You did get the definition but i would like to explain using some examples shown below :-
golden ratio |
This type of composition speacially if best for such shots
...
grid 3*3(rule of thirds applied) |
The most common composition and very basic but effective composition
generally for every type of situations.
symmetric |
A very nice composition where you have to maintain the levels and grid lines to the position best suited with tripods and stable subjects in the symmetry .
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These are some composition now lets move on to another level that's the types of composition used in photography.
- Simplicity Photography
- Symmetrical Balance
- Asymmetrical Balance
- Radial balance
- Rule Of Thirds
- Leading lines
- Golden Ratio
- Framing(photography)
- Centered composition
- Diagonal triangles
- Rule of odds
- Rule of space
The composition techniques in photography are mere guidelines to help beginners capture eye-catching images. These provide a great starting point until an individual is able to out grow them in capturing images through more advance techniques.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You saw all the types of compositions now , don't rush grab the camera learn the composition one by one steadily to improve your visual perspective to see the environment around you.
Let's talk briefly about all the compositions
- Rule Of Thirds: The rule of thirds is a composition guideline that places your subject in the left or right third of an image, leaving the other two thirds more open. While there are other forms of composition, the rule of thirds generally leads to compelling and well-composed shots.
subject(tiger) |
Here you can see the subject(tiger) is focused at the left side instead of center it's gives more depth and feel of the photo as it is
I'll show you what happens when you shoot the subject in the middle of the frame
left(with rule of thirds applied) ; right(without rule of thirds)
|
clearly the one with rule of thirds applied on it is more attractive than the simple middle subjected photo on the right side.
Now where to use this type of composition?
Don't You worry, I am here amigo...
- you can use rule of thirds where you have to shoot a single subject and the view around that subject as well
-
or you can align the grids according to the lines of the landscape
sculpture/subject to shoot the depth out of it.

of thirds for your photos to be sky rocking ....
